Staying active in your senior years is important. So, Senior Transportation Connection recommends these events as something that older Clevelanders may enjoy. Whether you're interested in light exercise, social gatherings, or simply spending time in the fresh air, there are great opportunities happening around Cuyahoga County.

Here are some activities that stand out this season.

Ice Cream Social – Hosted by Senior Transportation Connection

Enjoy sweet treats & carnival-inspired snacks and entertainment! Senior Transportation Connection will be hosting a special ice cream social, open house, and resource fair on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at 4735 W. 150th St. Cleveland, OH 44135.

It's an opportunity to meet STC's riders and tour the Senior Transportation Connection facility - where the magic begins!

Accessible Trails in Cleveland Metroparks

For those who enjoy nature but may have mobility considerations, Cleveland Metroparks offers a helpful Accessibility Guide, developed in partnership with MetroHealth. It highlights trails and park features that are most accessible for differently-abled individuals, including paved paths, flat terrain, and available rest areas.

2025 Summer Senior Walks with the Cleveland Department of Aging

Join the City of Cleveland Department of Aging for their largest Summer Senior Walk series. These weekly walks are designed to promote health, wellness, and community among older adults. Participants can walk at their own pace and enjoy the outdoors while connecting with others. Walks begin at 9am.
